Whether on horseback, in off-road vehicles, or on foot, and organized into Hermandades (brotherhoods), the pilgrims traverse marshes and follow sandy tracks. It is an immersive journey through a protected landscape—Doñana National Park—marked by various encounters leading up to the fervent reunion with the Virgin of El Rocío. It is a world apart from modern life, where words like solidarity, sharing, and communion hold real meaning, independent of any religious faith.
